18 years ago today, on March 4, 2001 you changed my life. When they placed you on my chest and you looked deep into my eyes, you stole my breath and captured my heart. Because in that very moment, I suddenly knew exactly what unconditional love was. I felt it from you as I gazed into your eyes. That was the first of countless times over the next 15 years that we would communicate with each other without saying a word. Your path was already set, and on that day 18 years ago, I knew that being a mother was the greatest thing I would ever do.

Happy 18th birthday BJ. I made your favorite birthday cake and later, our circle of family will come over to help Carly and I celebrate one of the 2 most special days of my life. We miss you so, so very much. “I love you more than anything”…

Thank you God for the life of this boy, and for choosing me to be his mom!
