Pet Therapy
On November 23, 2018 by Michelle LoveWas just reminded of the time Charlie put his throat on mine and helped me stop coughing…
I am so thankful that Charlie Brown is still hanging on. I took him back to see Dr. Redden on Monday, and he had already lost all the blood received in Thursday’s transfusion. She decided to try a Chinese Herbal medicine called Yunnan, that is supposed to help stop bleeding. He’s very weak, but will eat if given a little deli meat. We’re also feeding him baby food through a syringe. I’m very thankful for good friends who have taken care of him while we were away from home. 💙
It’s still unclear what’s really going on with him.

So I came back from Boston with a nasty sinus infection and borderline ear infection. I’ve been feeling better after Monday’s steroid shot and start of antibiotics, but last night I was coughing pretty bad. Charlie Brown very slowly army-crawled over and stretched out his head across my throat….so we were throat to throat. I coughed a few more times but it stopped. I went right back to sleep, and that never happens. I’m SO thankful for my sweet puppies. They’ve been right by our side through so, so much. They comforted BJ when he was sick. Charlie Brown even made a few trips to visit his boy while we were in the hospital for that long stretch, and he gives great hugs, too. Lucy is just as much the stay-by-your-side kind of dog.
Thank you God for our dogs, and the healing powers you gave them.
