Not him too

Carly and I have been so worried about our furry boy, Charlie Brown. For an unknown reason, he has had a GI bleed, and his blood level shows he is severely anemic. We had him at the Denver Animal Emergency on Sunday, and rechecked today at East Lincoln Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, it has gotten worse. Tomorrow, he will have a blood transfusion to hopefully bide him time to see if the meds will fix whatever is going on. Dr. Redden at ELAH was great. She suspects he may have developed an autoimmune disorder, but isn’t positive. I was relieved to hear her say she didn’t think it was cancer.

Anyone who knows us knows how much we love our dogs. Charlie Brown is the biggest teddy bear. We swear he’s not a real dog. He’s the one who knows when you’re sad and comes to comfort you. He has the best personality. We are praying that we don’t lose him too. 💔
