Duke memories
On November 2, 2018 by Michelle LoveFrom this day, November 2, 2015…we had been at Duke for several days with BJ being on the CART-19 clinical trial. We were staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Durham until his body started reacting to the treatment and he was admitted. It was some of the worst days and there were some very scary times. We hated being away from home. The environment at Duke children’s hospital isn’t the same homey atmosphere as Levine children’s hospital, and to top it off, Carly wasn’t allowed to sleep in his room with us there. BJ didn’t like that either. He wanted Carly with him. As tough as it was, BJ ALWAYS wore his #Tarheelsgear. No dookey here. Never.
