Another loss, another Sunday

Breaks my heart for Dalton’s family, knowing the new version of darkness they’re in now. He passed away on Sunday, October 15. Please pray that they feel the love surrounding them. The first days are such a blur, with making plans and then comes the quiet… Where you feel the emptiness everywhere you go. You sit in his room surrounded by his things and it’s both comforting and sharply painful. All his things are here…. Clothes, shoes, sports memorabilia, school work,…. Everything he had is here. He’s not. I’m so deeply sorry for my friend Geri, and also know that Dalton is in the place that I am homesick for. Dalton won, cancer didn’t win. Dalton fought long and hard and he didn’t give up. He is a warrior. He is a hero. He is his Momma’s boy. He will not be forgotten.
