BJ has gained an appetite! He doesn’t eat too much at a time, but he eats several times throughout the day. He continues to need platelets. Monday, his platelet count was 3K, and he received a 2-unit platelet transfusion. Wednesday, his platelet count was 5k, and again, he received a 2-unit platelet transfusion. To the contrary, BJ’s hemoglobin has actually increased since we left the hospital Saturday. We thank God for this, as it is not something that we have seen happen without a blood transfusion. Saturday, his hemoglobin was 14.2. On Monday, it was 13.9. Wednesday, it was 15.
BJ is very happy to be sleeping in his own bed. Our dogs love that BJ is back home too. Lucy stays right beside him. We are all happy to be back home after 118 days away.
We are still in constant prayer and place complete trust in God. Thank you all so very much for your continued prayers for complete healing. It’s never too late for a miracle.
