BJ has had another good day yesterday and today. He has been up, and walking, the same distance as Saturday, but no stopping to rest in the middle. He is really pushing himself with physical therapy and stretching to make walking less painful. He even had a shower today! First real shower in a very long time. He felt so much better, and sat in a chair for a while afterward.
His white count has increased in the last few days, and was 4.2k today, with the blast percentage at 85%. His doctors decided to start him on chemotherapy again to try to knock down the leukemia. He got his first dose of cytarabine tonight at 8pm.
We pray that this chemo goes into every hiding place of each leukemia cell, find every single one, destroying it completely, leaving no leukemia behind. We pray that BJ’s body will be protected from this chemo’s side effects, and that he will be restored to complete health. Thank you for joining us in praying for these specific things.
