BJ was moved to Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte today. His white blood cell count was 115k this morning at Duke. By the time that we arrived at Levine, it had risen to 150k. He was started on steroids to decrease his WBC so that he could receive a more aggressive chemo. This should take a few days. The leukemia has settled in his spleen, and his abdomen is distended. The steroids should help bring some of the swelling down. Right now, he is on a Morphine drip and is finally resting comfortably.
Please keep us in your prayers.
