Platelet re-charge

Early to clinic this morning to check BJ’s blood counts. His platelet count was low again (12k), so he will be getting a unit of platelets. His hemoglobin is borderline for him to get a blood transfusion. That will wait until Monday’s lab check. He’s still feeling very tired, but wants to be up doing something. He went for a walk yesterday evening in our neighborhood since the weather was beautiful. That was great, but wore him out even more.

Thank you to those who give blood and platelets. You really are saving lives.
