Childhood Cancer . Childhood Leukemia
They started BJ on IV antibiotics last night, and thankfully his fever broke at some point during the night. He didn’t sleep very much because his arms are hurting and he couldn’t get comfortable. We think this is from the neulasta shot he got a week ago. His lab work from this morning showed his hemoglobin down to 6, so he received 2 units of blood today. He’s feeling better and his temp has stayed normal. He’ll be able to go home when his counts improve and the temp remains normal for at least 24 hours. We had a visit from Sadie today.
Pet therapy is awesome!… Especially when it reminds you of your own dog!!
