Methotrexate Toxicity

After being admitted yesterday, BJ had an EEG showing no seizure activity. They came and got us at 2am this morning for his MRI, which showed the methotrexate toxicity that they had expected. 

By this morning, he woke up feeling much better than yesterday, and the weakness had resolved. His headache is gone, and I think that’s due to the 2 units of blood he received yesterday. His hemoglobin is up but all his other counts are low. 

Because the weakness was gone, and there’s nothing but time that will resolve symptoms, we were able to come home! BJ didn’t eat anything yesterday, but he asked for Bojangles this morning, so I knew that was a good sign!! 

As usual, we have the best care available, and nurses that are family, and just make this process easier. 

I just want to thank you all so much for the prayers made on BJ’s behalf and I thank God for his goodness.
