January 24, 2014….Update

BJ had a vincristine infusion in the clinic this morning, and then had to come over to the hospital for his spinal tap with intrathecal methotrexate. He’s still asleep in the recovery room, and I’m just waiting for him to wake up. Thankfully, everything went well with the anesthesia and procedure. We can go home after he wakes up.

He’s been doing very well lately. He’s gotten used to his new port, and it worked like it should this morning in the clinic. They always do a complete set of vitals at every visit. From last month’s visit on Dec. 27, 2013 until today, BJ had grown 1 inch. He’s 5’10” now. No wonder I’m feeling shorter and shorter these days! Every time he walks up to me, I have to look up at him! 🙂 He’s still my sweet boy though…and he always will be.
