New Port Friday

5am and we’re checked into the hospital and the day has started… BJ’s surgery is scheduled for 7am.

Praying everything goes well…..

The hour and a half surgery went well this morning. BJ woke up in the recovery room in quite a bit of pain and pretty mad because of it. Even he knows that none of this is fair, or right, or normal, and sometimes it really makes him angry.

The new port is larger than the old one, and was not put in the exact location so he is hurting. We had to come over to the clinic afterwards for chemo, and he was also given morphine for the pain.

The expectation is that he will have trouble sleeping tonight and tomorrow will be worse for pain, but after tomorrow, he should start to feel better.
